Pastor
Pastor Barbara B Pollock is the wife of the late Pastor Clyde Ray Pollock, Sr. She is a dedicated Pastor of the Living Word Faith Community Church of Zellwood, Florida. Born and reared in Apopka, Florida she married Clyde on June 1, 1964, and is the proud mother of three children and two bonus sons.
- · Accepted Christ as her personal savior in 1964, under the tutelage of Elder Cleveland Simmons.
- · Licensed as Missionary Evangelist in 1967, under state supervisor Susie Johnson/Bishop Henry Williams.
- · Worked as District Secretary in the Women’s Department
- · She worked with her husband having prayer in homes in community of people who needed spiritual guidance and prayer, conceived the vision.
- · Co-Founded Living Word COGIC, Inc. in July of 1995
- · Graduate of International Seminary
The church was incorporated and formed on a mission to bring unity and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in the city of Zellwood and beyond. Since the beginning the church, Pastor Barbara Pollock worked faithfully with her husband unto his departure. The mantle has been left to her; she is endeavoring to continue the work, looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrew 12:2
Founder
Ministerial Experience
- Began his Christian journey at the age of 26, under the tutelage of Elder Cleveland Simmons.
- Member of White Stars Gospel Singers,
- Appointed and Ordained Deacon at Evangelist Temple C.O.G.I.C. by the late Evangelist Edmond Hicks.
- Called to the ministry in 1971 under the leadership of Evangelist Edmond Hicks.
- Ordained to the Gospel Ministry on August 26, 1978.
- Served as district Youth Director, Orlando District, C.O.G.I.C. under direction of Supt. Alma Smith
- Served as Sunday School Superintendent of Lake Wales District, C.O.G.I.C. under direction of Alma Smith.
- Served as YPWW President of the Lakeland District, C.O.G.I.C. under leadership of Supt. Anderson Oliver.
- Served as Chairman of the Altamonte Springs District, C.O.G.I.C. under guidance of Supt. Charles D. Butler.
- Started ministry mission in 1987
- Appointed Pastor of Living Word, Zellwood by Bishop C.D. Kinsey December 14, 1992.
- Pastor & Founder of Living Word COGIC, Inc. 1995.
- Served as Treasurer of the Zellwood Improvement Project
